"S" IS FOR STEEL, IN THIS CASE STEEL STRAIGHT PULL STEEL SPOKES.
The durability and ride quality of our S-series wheelsets does the Enduro and Trail pedigree proud. S-series wheelsets are handbuilt for the long haul with28 straight-pull spokes, proven rim profiles and our finely crafted Hydra hubs.

SYSTEM WHEELSET DESIGN:
STRAIGHT PULL SPOKES THREAD DIRECTLY INTO THE HUB SHELL.
Our proprietary aluminum spoke threads directly into our system hub to create the i9 system chassis for a stiffer, more durable wheelset. The straight pull concept removes the j-bend, and spoke/nipple interface, typically the places conventional steel spokes fail.
Machined from 7075-T651 high grade aluminum, our system spokes are engineered to be oversized at both the thread and the nipple, resulting in a solid, flex-free junction. The one piece design eliminates the need for a spoke nipple.
1/1 SERIES WHEELSET DESIGN:
TRADITIONAL J-BEND SPOKES MEET INDUSTRY NINE ENGAGEMENT.
Built around a dual phase pawl-drive mechanism accomplishing 90 POE and 4° engagement by way of a six pawl driver and 45 tooth drivering. The 1/1 Series takes a no-nonsense approach in welcoming riders to Industry Nine.
Ensuring the bike stays out of the shop and on the trail, 1/1 hubs feature high load cartridge bearings, service-friendly retained pawls actuated by durable leaf springs and a robust protection system using a labyrinth radial freehub lip seal and endcap proximity seals which remain unencumbered by bearing wear or preload.
